Printer Calibration

I posted about this a month or so ago and got no response, but as a public service I will now tell you that Ed Hamrick confirmed that scanner and printer calibration profiles developed by using VueScan and an IT-8 target CAN NOT be seen by any other app, even though they appear in ColorSync profile folders. He did not explain why.

The only standalone printer cal app I have found is 135 bucks, so I'll just use VueScan I guess. I suppose the 400 dollar hardware apps will do it too.
