Matching quiz - Captivate 6

Hi,

This is my first project on captivate and i'm struggling with the matching quiz section of my project.

The issue is that when i publish or preview the quiz section of my project, if i answer the matching quiz correctly then it shows that yiur answer is correct. but i want to add an advance feedback giving an explanation when the answer is incorrect.

I couldn't locate an option for advance feedback in the matchting quiz slide. So, i tried adding the feedback in the "incomplete" button, which comes along with the correct button.

But it doesn't work in my case.

So, for the correct answer, it shows the green button.. showing that your answer is correct. But, for an incorrect ansswer.. it simply moves on the the next slide.

    Check that your quiz slide has failure level set to 1 or more. This should mean that you see a Fail caption if the answer is incorrect.

     

    The matching quiz template has no Advanced Answer option. That only applies to the multiple choice radio button wiz question type.

    Hey Rod,

    Thanks for your help.. but im facing another problem now.

    I have to us ethe pretest question slides because i need 2 quizzes. i Want the score for the final wuiz but not for the pretest ones.

    The scorecard is working fine, as in it picks up the scores for the final exam only. But the pretest quiz slides is disabling the skin editor of my project.

     

    What do i do??

    Sorry but I've never seen that specific problem.  Can you include some screenshots to show exactly what you are seeing?

    i won't be able to share the screenshots with you, as it is a client confidential project on which i'm working on.

    But someone else has also faced a similar sort of problem.

    If your issue is that the playbar is disabled during pretest questions, I think you will find that Nimmy has already answered that question on the other post as follows:

      "Do you have any Pretest questions inserted in your project? Inserting a Pretest question disables play bar options in Skin editor as it is not supported for a branch aware course."

     

    You said that pretest was disabling the Skin Editor of your project.  I took that to mean that you could not open the Skin Editor.  But it now sounds like your issue is more connected with the fact that you are prevented from setting a playbar to be used in the pretest. Was that the issue you were referring to?  If so, it sounds like Captivate 6 is designed to work that way.  So I don't have any way to change this.

    Yes, I'm reffering to the fact that im prevented from setting a playbar. The playbar doesn't appear at all in my project if i put pretest questions.

    And if Captivate 6 is designed that way, then is there any other way where in i can put all the questions (not in the pretest quiz) and only half of those questions gets included in the scorecard and along with it, it doesnt disable the playbar..??
