While watching videos in fullscreen on Youtube and other sites like this my framerategets so low that the video changes into a slideshow.
It happens mosty in fulscreen but can also appear while watching normally. Hardware acceleration is off.
After i click "show video info" I can easly notice that my framerate drop is REALLY high. I have this problem on every single web browser.
Right now I am using Google Chrome and FF. Problem started to occur after upgrading FP to 11.3, but downgrading it didn't help at all.
I noticed that uninstalling adblock from my browsers solved this problem only on google chrome.
After I got familiar with google chrome, framerate drop returned with bigger army then ever and uninstalling adblock changed nothing.
I am using Windows 7.
I'm sorry if my post might be a little chaotic, but I've been struggling with this problem for weeks now and I didn't really knew where to start.
What is your display adapter, device driver version & date? See http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765
What I would try if I encountered your situation
I've got ATI Radeon HD6950 2GB with the latest driver installed.
I even tried to downgrade the driver once but it didn't help so I sticked with the newest.
I have also tried turning on and off hardware acceleration, but neither work.
That is really not something that should happen; what is your Flash Player version?
The key to us being able to fix these issues is reproducibility. Unfortunately, many times these problems just don't occur on other systems. Given the popularity of video playback, I suspect we're dealing with something specific on your systems. Here's the FAQ that we ask users to take a look at when this type of problem occurs.
I'd recommend going through this, trying out the solutions you haven't tried already, and then reporting a bug to us. However, before doing this, try both of these links to see how playback works:
If you encounter problems with both, then this is most likely not a Flash issue but either a core system problem or a problem with YouTube.
Since the last Flash update (11,3,31,222) i also can watch flash videos in fullscreen without lag both on chrome an IE.
Tried a couple solutions i read here, but they didn't work.
The Intel graphic driver is up to date and everything was working fine until i installed the latest flash update!
Should i try to completly uninstall flash and install it again? I don't think it will work but...
I had the problem since today afternoon, funny how everyones problems occurred about the same time ... but unlike OP, my problem only occurs on Google Chrome. I've tried updating everything and still doesn't work. Help please, please don't abandon this thread, if you got a solution, please post it. Thanks
I had this problem with google chrome, but not on other browsers. The issue began when I downloaded a media-viewing program, but the problem persisted even after removing it.
I've tried a few things to no avail, but then I found something interesting. For some reason, I had multiple versions of flash plugins enabled at the same time. I disabled all but one, and that seemed to fix my problem. Worth a shot if you've tried everything else and still didn't solve the problem. Here's what I did:
Type "chrome:plugins" in the adress bar. Find the flash plugin. Expand for details. If there are multiple versions of flash plugins enabled, disable all but one.
When I disabled all but version 126.96.36.199, the problem persisted, But when I disabled all but version 11,3,300,268, the problem disappeared.
You might have a different issue (faulty graphics card, driver not updated), but this worked for me.
Good luck. Hope I helped someone..
