I have a picture - it's of a house from 1937, from the archives. Unfortunately, it has writing on it (in large white handwritten letters). I'd like to remove the letters; I only have LR3, not photoshop - is there a way to do this?
This is a job for more powerful editors. In Lightroom, I'm going to say it can be done, but not very well, by using the clone tool, which was designed really for dust spots and the like. My advice to you is don't even bother doing this in LR.
Elements should be able to do the job, as would CS6. If you are doing this on only one photo, I would just download the 30 day free trial instead of paying for it.
