After Effects CS5.5 Crash

Periodically After Effects 5.5 crashes when opening.  The message box reads " After Effects error: Crash in progress. Last logged message was: <3376> <DynamicLink> 00000000182FBF80"

 

Can someone point me to a solution?

    You don't offer enough information for us to offer maningful advice.

     

    Look here to find a list of diagnostic information.  Even if you think they're trivial, answer all the questions.

    Here goes…

     

    • After Effects version 10.5.0.253
    • This a volume license version, CS6 has just been installed in trial mode using an AAMEE build, and all CS apps will be updated using Remote Update Manager once CS6 is serialized
    • OS is Windows 7 x64 SP1
    • Source footage; NA, not getting that far
    • Full text of error message supplied in original post
    • When After Effects starts the message sometimes appear & the app crashes
    • This computer is in a college lab; I have had no previous reports of After Effects crashing
    • Other software; general stuff, MS Office 2010 & the like
    • 3rd party codecs; Codec - Audio - l3codeca
    • Hardware; Dell Optiplex 960, Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.16 GHz, 4 GB RAM, nVIDIA GeForce 9300GE, 2 X 160GB Western Digital WD1600HLFS-7 HDD in RAID0 configuration, no external drives
    • No 3rd party I/O hardware (other than GPU listed above)
    • Using OpenGL features; No
    • Problem only with final output; No, not getting that far
    • Last question is not applicable as this error is happening @ startup
