I am using PSE7 and when I print the thumbnail pictures I would like to include the time the pictures were taken. The details show the date, time and jpg number, but only prints the date and jpg number.
I can't open the png file

When I press the home/print screen key the first picture in the organizer is selected and when I launch the editor only the first picture in my organizer is in the clipboard.
Did you : "Then open the Editor and use File >>New ..Image from Clipboard" as indicated by 99jon in post 7 ?
Sorry, on my keyboard it’s not the Home key. I have three keys (top right) PrintScreen, Scroll lock and pause/break
If you have Vista or Windows 7 the snipping tool may be easier.

I am using Vista and I tried the snipping tool. I had never used it before! It did work, however; it still won't work for what I would like to do. It of course prints the whole screen with the grey background and that would use up a lot of ink. Thank you for your time! You don't have any other ideas do you about how I could print the thumbnails to include the time the photo was taken as well as the date and jpg number?
The free XnView image viewer:
http://www.xnview.com/en/xnview.html
allows you to print a contact sheet and add your choice of information to include in the captions, including the data and time.

Hi Tracy,
In my example, I put in three pieces of info on their own lines. When you choose that "Date Taken", the format will be
[Y-m-d_H-M-S]
which includes the date and time on one line. I changed the format as you can see in the screen capture to separate the date and time so they are on their own lines.

Hi Ken,
Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you...I was busy working all weekend. When I use the information as you stated this is how the time looks. In case you can't read it:
IMG_8256
07-28-12
22-26-45
If I use the "creation date" it shows the date the image was downloaded to the computer and the time it was downloaded to the computer and the time is in the format that I want, but I don't want the creation date, I want the date and time (with correct format) the photo was taken.
Tracy,
I looked at your contact sheet setup again, and you're using the correct EXIF Image information. If the date/time is not what it should be, the problem is in the EXIF information stored in your image. You might have set the importing options to change the date of the image to match the date of the import.
