Annoying error when starting Illustrator CS6

Everytime I start Illustrator,  I get the following error after the splash screen: "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk9\DR9."" The options given are CANCEL - TRY AGAIN - CONTINUE. It seems just clicking any of them allows me to proceed. I haven't found any other problems presenting due to this error but it is really annoying on a new maching with new software. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

I think there may have been some kind of removable disk attached to the computer that is somehow referenced when launching Illustrator. I would probably just try uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator.

I'm moving this thread over to our download/installation forum.

Do you receive any particular error message when you were installing Illustrator CS6?  Are you installing from the Adobe Application Manager using the Creative Cloud?  Which operating system are you using?  Did you have a beta version of Illustrator CS6 installed previously?
