Hi
I have produced a document in in design using an existing template created by a collegue.
When i view the document on my screen it has a rainbow coloured border (?) on it which i dont want! When i print the document this border does not print. However nothing outside of the border prints despite there being space on the page.
Any ideas how i can get rid of this border to enable me to print the full document? i cant seem to select it.... The layer isnt locked....
Perhaps it has nothing to do with any of these guides, and the stuff that does not print is because your printer cannot print that close to the page edge.
Are you printing straight out of InDesign? Try export to PDF, open your document in Acrobat to see if all is there that should be, and if so, print from there. You might also want to check on any special instructions for your printer (e.g., "This model does not print in a 0.5" border around the page").

Are you talking about the margin guides? You should be able to print outside of the margins as long as the printer is capable of it, which is what Jongware was getting at. Can you open your PDF in Acrobat or Reader, fit it in the window and take a screen shot?
I'm late to this, but I'm not sure where the rainbow colored border is that you've mentioned is located. I think it would help if you gave us another screen shot and identified it.
I do see that the margin guides are set to 6 mm and that there is content extending beyond them. most laser printers are incapable of printing closer than about 6 mm to the edge, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's waht the problem is, as some others have mentioned. When you export a PDF and view on screen, is all the content there? Is it there if you print from Acrobat and allow Acrobat to scale the page to fit the printable area for your printer?
