AAE keeps crashing with (0:42) error

when ever i open aae cs5.5 it comes up with a error:crash in progress. Last logged message was: <3240> <appdirs> <5> required Dir = c:\program files\Adobe\adobe after effects cs5.5\support files\required

 

i really dont know what to do and needa fix it fast as i needa do some editing some1 please help me!!!

    You do not provide any system info, so chances are slim that anybody can help you at all. 0::42 is just a generic dumb crash. That aside, errors with folders could point to permissions issues. Simply trash the prefs and reinstall the program, then run it as admin at least once...

    damn it didnt work what system info do u want me to provide?

     

    Operating system, graphics card, memory outfit etc. - all the basics plus any specifics that may affect install procedures and in turn file permissions/ user privileges like security settings/ tools that may block stuff or any recent changes in your user management.
