My new Dell PC includes Adobe Reader which accepts scans of multi-page documents and then converts them to pdf files - but keeps each page as a separate pdf.
1 - How do I prevent this from continuing when I scan and make a pdf of a multi-page document?
2 - The directions at Adobe.com for combining or merging documents say to drag the thumbnail of each pdf onto onto a single pdf in order to asemble them as a single pdf file, but Adobe Reader simply does not let me do this: the thumbnail does not allow me to drag it as the directions suggest I should do.
What is the solution to each of these?

1. This would be an option either on your scanner or in the scan software you may have on your PC and not a Reader option.
2. The Free Reader does not allow this. This free program will let you do that: http://www.pdfsam.org/
