form hightlight color layer is over annotation

hi-

 

I've a got a pdf form with some annotations that popup (like tooltips). Everything works well, except, when the 'highlight existing fields' option is on the highlight sits on top of my annotations, making it hard to read them.

 

Is there a way to force annotations to be the top layer? A z-index of some sort?

    No, but I would have used the tooltip or created a hidden field whose visibility is triggered by the enter and the on blur action.
