Hi

I have been trying to get the internal server reporting to work in captivate 5.5 and captivate 6 with no luck

I have been searching google and these forum all day to find many post with the same problem and no solutions

i need to get it to work from a web server on hostgator i have both linux and windows hosting with them and nither work

firstly i Put internalServerReporting.php and internalserverread.php files on the root directory of the webserver

when i test i get

Warning:  mkdir() [function.mkdir]: File exists in D:\InetPub\vhosts\fstudio.co.uk\httpdocs\captivate\internalServerRepor ting.php on line 35

Warning:  mkdir() [function.mkdir]: File exists in D:\InetPub\vhosts\fstudio.co.uk\httpdocs\captivate\internalServerRepor ting.php on line 37

Warning:  mkdir() [function.mkdir]: File exists in D:\InetPub\vhosts\fstudio.co.uk\httpdocs\captivate\internalServerRepor ting.php on line 39

Warning:  mkdir() [function.mkdir]: File exists in D:\InetPub\vhosts\fstudio.co.uk\httpdocs\captivate\internalServerRepor ting.php on line 41

Warning:  fopen(./CaptivateResults////////) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\InetPub\vhosts\fstudio.co.uk\httpdocs\captivate\internalServerRepor ting.php on line 43

Warning:  fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in D:\InetPub\vhosts\fstudio.co.uk\httpdocs\captivate\internalServerRepor ting.php on line 45

Added the following to the internalserverread.php file after <?php:$filterArray = array(".","..",".DS_STORE",".svn");

and that dose nothing

In Captivate, changed quiz prefs to point to the Reporting.php file

Published captivate file to the root directory

Took captivate quiz and posted results with name and email

Looked into CaptivateResults folder and no  directory structure and data were present

Opened Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer

Went to options >> preferences and added an internal server location

i have changed chmod permissions aswell to no avail

if i do it localy via wamp i get the xml but it wont open in quiz analyser un les i set it to my computer

    Hi,

Okhey, so to be honest, I haven't yet depolyed it on Linux, but I believe the process is more or less similar.

I would let you know what I tried and has been working for me on Windows.

    1) Installed Wamp.

    2) Placed the internalServerReporting.php and internalserverread.php files on the root directory of Wamp.

    3) Booted my Wamp Service.

    4) Configured my Project with the Server address as my localhost/IP wise.

    5) Placed the Published project in a Folder in Root Drive (www folder)

    6) appeared for the course from a remote machine, using http://IP/Folder/index.htm

    7) Used Quiz Result analyzer to pull results.

When you say " In Captivate, changed quiz prefs to point to the Reporting.php file", I guess you are going wrong here, you need to point the Server name to Wamp Server Location.

Check this video and this should clear some doubts.

    thanks!

    Hi ,

Glad that you got a start there.

Ok, I believe you have provided the Course, Department and Company name.

Now, when you sign in to Quiz Result Analyzer, Select the drop-down as from this computer, 'Browse' to the location where you have got you Captivate Result Folder, In my case, I used Wamp with Quiz Result Analyzer on same machine and I located the folder at C:\wamp\www\anjaneai\CaptivateResults

once, done Click on 'Generate Report' button, it would pull up the report for the seesions your users appeared for.

    Thanks!

    Anjaneai
