Anyone has had problems transferring files from iPhone to computer?

I keep on getting the message "could not be copied because you do not have permission to see its contents", not matter which file I try to "save to" my computer via iTunes.

    Give us the exact steps you're using to transfer the file. It would also be helpful if you could tell what operating sytem version you're using.

    The iPhone is running iOS 5.1.1, MacBook Pro has Mac OS X 10.7.4 and iTunes is 10.6.3 (25).

     

    All the PDF files I've been trying to work with are either downloaded via iPhone of uploaded to it from my MacBook. 

     

    After editing the files with Adober Reader (highlighting content, writing something on it), I go to iTunes, select my iPhone from the list of DEVICES, click on the Apps tab, go under FILE SHARING, select the Adobe Reader to see its files, choose whatever file I want to "save to" my computer.  The end result is what I stated before "could not be copied because you do not have permission to see its contents".

    I just tested those steps with Reader and my iPad. I also have latest iOS, iTunes and Mac OS X 10.7.4.

     

    It worked fine.

     

    First thing I would try is to reset your iPhone. As you probably know, you can do that by holding down Home button and Sleep/Wake button at the same time. Keep them down past the Slide to Shut Down comes up and goes away, until the Apple icon appears.

     

    Whenever anything wierd happens on my iPhone, that's the first thing I try.

    It worked fine for the iPhone, Steve; your tip, that is.  But it was only for the few files I created myself in my MacBook.  The ones (files) I download straight from the internet with both iPhone and iPad were not working.

     

    I'm not sure what the latest update was, but now it looks like I can work with the same files no matter where I download them first.
