upgrade from pro 7

I have acrobat pro 7 which came bundle with CS2 for a Pmac G5 and have now upgraded to mac pro with 10.7 and will be retiring the old G5.

Can I upgrade pro 7 to pro X or do I have to purchase the full package? I tried to install pro 7 on the new pro mac but got the message that power mac software is not supported.

I'm worried I will buy the upgrade and it won't work as there is no installed acrobat pro on the new computer.

My understanding is that you have to upgrade CS if you got Acrobat that way. There was quite a discussion about this as I recall when AAX first came out. To upgrade from AA7 to AAX, you would have to have the stand-alone AA7 -- not your case. To be sure, as the Adobe folks.

It is important to indicate that AA7 is part of the CS2 suite to get the correct answer. I do not know for sure if you purchase an upgrade to AA7 if it will install properly with the version from the CS2 suite. Sorry that I can't be more helpful.

I believe you will either have to upgrade the suite or purchase a standalone version of Acrobat.
