In CS4, I was able to see HD video in the Capture panel until I pressed rhe Record button, then it was replaced by a multi-language screen. But in CS5 I can never see any video in the Capture panel, though CS5 does capture the video. This is my first time with CS5 and it's a new computer that I had to install a SYBA PCIe Firewire card in ,just to capture. On a possibly related note. I tried using HDV-Split to record the HD video, but every time I pressed Record, the capture stopped. But both CS5 and HDV-Split recognize the SONY FX7 I'm using to play the video and CS5 does capture the video.
Did you do this for Win7?

I tried reverting to the legacy drivers but it didn't help. And again my programs ARE recognizing the camcorder, but the video is not being displayed in the programs and HDVSplit stops a few seconds after starting.
Update: I bought a new PCIe x1 firewire card. Now I can see the video in the Capture Panel and in HDVSplit, and I can capture video in one long file. But when I try to use Scene Split in either Ppro or HDVSplit, both stop recording after a few seconds or a few minutes.
