Prevent from serialization

We are using WebORB for communications between Flex and a middle tier. As far as I can see the AMF specification calls for dates to be serialized in UTC and the timezone information is stripped. IS there a way to prevent that? Another to get an original (stored in SQL) date/time value? Thanks

You can customize serialization by implementing the IDataInput/IDataOutput interface
