Editing Imported Comments

I've imported comments from various reviewers. One reviewer has deleted one word too many in a particular sentence.

 

I've tried to edit the comment, and I've tried rejecting the comment and deleting only the part of the sentence that should have been deleted but I'm not able to edit the sentence in any way.

 

As far as I can tell, I can only delete the comment entirely if I want to edit the text. However, I need to keep a record of the comment so I can't delete the reviewer's comment.

 

1. Can I edit an edit?

2. If not, can I edit text that has been edited/commented on?

    You could reject the comment and then Filter the comments to turn off those that have been rejected.

    One other question, if I can;

     

    I did what you suggested. When I tried to delete only the part of the sentence that should ahve been deleted, nothing happens.

     

    However, if I highlight the part of the setence that should be deleted, right click and select Cross Out Text (Comment), the text will be deleted. Would you know if this method is my only option in this situation? Is there not a way to simply hit "delete" on the keyboard, as I would normally?
