Download of an Existing Site Results in Locked Files in Local Site Folder

Newbie question running DW on a Mac  --

 

Running Dreamweaver CS6 on new MacBook Pro OS 10.7.4.

 

Need to revise a site I had been maintaining with Contribute 4 -- have to use DW CS6.

 

Succeeded in downloading the whole remote site with minimum issues, but when I start to edit from the Local Site, I find all of the files locked.

 

Can I just change the permissions with Get Info, or is this a Dreamweaver lock requiring special actions?

    Are you working in a Defined Site?  Site > Manage Sites > New...

     

    Was the person who worked on the site before you using File Check-in/Check-out features?
