Web Form and Email Marketing Form Bug

Jul 27, 2012 5:38 PM

I am a paid Premium partner in the process of transferring a website into Business Catalyst for the first time.

I am running into an issue with the forms loading properly. Sometimes when I load the page, it seems that anything using the the <input> HTML tag has an increased width randomly. Other times, everything looks fine, without making any changes. It just depends on when I reload the page.

I'm not sure if its a bug with my CSS or if its a bug with the modules. Any help is appreciated! Below are the pics:

Note that each screenshot was taken within 5 seconds of eachother, and the only thing I changed was refreshing the page. No code was altered.

Any ideas?

    Got a link to the site? Could be some javascript trying to do something, css error, html error of some sort.

    Forms are not doing anything funny at the moment.

    Is it doing in IE for you?
    If you are I know what it will be.

    Side note:

    You got two character set meta in your head and your doing ../css etc when these should be /css in BC. You will run into issues not doing that.

    CMS's need to understand locations. If you build a web app or have an ecommerce project that creates a tier URL structure or even if you have a page in the folder you have .com/something/page.

    BC's implementation for relative path that ensures it to work 100% with the system is to just have the / at the start of the url.

    So replace ../ etc with just the slash at the start of your src

    The background appears because of this:

    .secure-login, .newsletter-form {

        background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #F9F9F9;

        border: 1px solid #F2F2F2;

        margin-bottom: 18px;

    The reason this then disapears for some reason is because this file then 404's. The reason for this could be that you tried to delete it? You may want to contact support as this could be a caching issue.
