Can you print just part of a document?

I'm trying to print a bill that is legal size, but I would like to just print the bottom portion onto letter size paper. When I ask it to print on letter size paper, it defaults to printing the middle of the document. Is there any way to control that?

You can't print part of a page. However, you should be able to print with shrink to fit. Another option would be to capture the part you want and copy that to a graphic package and print the image you obtained.

Some versions of Acrobat have an option to print the current view.

You can print a region of the page by using the Snapshot tool, but it prints as a graphic object.

    • Edit > Take a Snapshot
    • Draw a rectangle around the area you want to print - it will highlight in blue
    • The area will be copied to the clipboard but that doesn't matter for your purposes.
    • Print the PDF via File > Print or the toolbar icon.
    • In the preview you'll see the hidden 'selected graphic' option has been chosen

Note that this method cannot currently be used to print back to PDF.

Crop the part of the bill you wish to print and print that page. Just don't save.

I like the crop answer and should have remembered it.
