Have you updated your Camera Raw plug-in to ACR 5.7? Installing CS4, again, would have put ACR 5.0 on your computer which may be too old to recognize your camera.
Go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
select Camera Raw in the top box and click Go, then
click the ACR 5.7 link and follow the instructions on the webpage that comes up.
