CS6 Capture not working with DV

I have just installed CS6 and was getting ready to capture some DV footage from my Sony HVR-Z1U. When it was hooked up as HDV it seemed to work ok but as soon as i changed to DV it locks up Premiere and you have to kill it. I am not sure what the next steps would be here

Did you change the settings in both the camera and PP?

yes i did. I even created a new sequence. I finally managed to get it working. I had to completely shut everything down, start Premiere, change the capture settings, save the project and quit. Come back into the project, turn the camera on and only then did it keep from locking up completely. Not sure I understand why it would lock up but nonetheless, hopefully this helps someone else in the future.

No, i didn't have to. As i said, for HDV is was working fine. It was just DV. I did mange to get it working but I am a little bummed that my first experience with CS6 was a lock up.
