Upon suggestion, I have completely removed Reader X, Acrobat and the flashplayer from my computer in order to re-install software from the website. I also temporarily turned off my firewall. It still reads "Failed to Initialize" and stops at 50%. Now I have NO Adobe software and apparently no way to download the new material. Please help.

Download the Adobe Reader installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Download the Flash Player installer(s) from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

Regarding Acrobat, use your install disks, or download it from your Adobe account.
