What product can I safely use/download to allow me to convert video files from my phone and camera to a type that will allow play, sharing, and saving of videos on my PC?![]()
The "recommened" products harm my PC and come with options I do not want added on to my core.
My camera's video files are .avi. My cell phone is not a smart phone. It's video files are a strange type. The phone says: 3gp
Really would appreciate some educated help here. this cannot POSSIBLY be this difficult!
Just want to share my daughter taking her first swim strokes![]()
Thanks and Cheers!

If there comes no educated answer you may be helped - in the mean time - with AnyVideoConverter's free download. It converts about everything to everything, including the conversion from 3gp. The free version will ask you to upgrade after every conversion but is fully functional.
I use the payed version and must say that it is reliable and fast. And no, I am in no way connected to the makers!
Okay. If you could tell me the best, safest free version to download that would be helpful. Even a 30day trial would be great. Don't worry about promoting products. I don't care. This just blows my mind that I cannot just upload and play. It is understood that my phone comes with no disk/hardware so that's a downfall.
When I am given the option to search the internet for software that will allow for this conversion(3gp and avi)it puts me to only one: Final Media Player that comes with a ton of of things which I can empty from my system. Nonetheless; the media player will not allow me to share video's in emails, social networking, etc. The conversion took nearly 45mins to convert ONE file. The video was small in size; short in length, no HD on my cell:)
Do you have a specific site you could recommend? I'm all about photography and art but video media is an another education in itself.
Thanks for responding.

I agree with both being all about photography and art (as can be seen via my website, the link is in my profile) and still struggling to find a way in video.
To play with it in Lightroom I had to convert files to mp4, that's why I needed a converting application. After trying some I ended up with AVC which is versatile as well as fast.
Please tike a while to look at the different conversion options and experiment a little.
Succes!
