Editing cpvc files

Can Captivate 6 video files be edited in another video editor program or just with Captivate?

    Publish the video out as an MP4 file and do whatever you want with it.

    The raw cpvc file can NOT be edited with any video editor, not even with Premiere Pro although Windows recognizes it as a Premiere Pro file (in my case). This was one of my first questions when I saw this new feature, and I regret it a lot. MP4 can be edited, but after all that is not a 'raw' file, it is already compressed, which means quality loss.
