Hi,
I am using Captivate 5. This is the first time I encountered a crash when publishing a project file. There's nothing peculiar about the project file. It's not big; it contains 41 slides only. I have published several videos all ready; thus, I find it weird for captivate to crash during publication. There is no error message; just an option to debug, search the web for information, or close the program.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Regards,
Rose
Hi There,
Can you delete your preferences and try re-publishing your project.
Will it be possible for you to share your project? If yes, please upload it on acrobat.com and share the link with me at maanand@adobe.com.

Opps, I just realized that the e-mail thread which contains the work-around was not included in my previous reply.
Here it is :
1. Open your project.
2. Goto Audio -> Settings.
3. In the Bitrate dropdown, select 'Variable Bitrate' option.
4. Now in the bitrate dropdown, select 'Constant Bitrate' option.
5. Press the 'Ok' button.
6. Save your file and then publish it.

Hello all,
Adobe Captivate Crashes when I publish the project in f4v format.
I have exactly the same problem as stated by the people before and I tried everything I could without result... probably did 15 tries... with fix rate, with variable rate... high quality... medium quality... etc.
I have a project with 26 slides and short videos on every other slide. Some slides are copied from ppt presentations... and there is absolutly nothing special in my project.
I didn't manage to overcome this and I really need help please.

Alex
