Glass Repair & Replacement
Something has gotten corrupted and when opening a page in a site I get an error message like this: "corrected invalid html: Line 96 Col 7 : Moved </head> to actual end of head content."
I am using a template (DW CS6, althought the problem originally surfaced in CS5) and when this happens the closing head tag is actually removed from it's correct position (there is no longer a closing head tag there) and placed directly after the opening html tag. I also find that the CSS files that should be attched to the file are not. So i went back an re-attatched them to the templates.
If in an effort to put it back where it belongs I make a small change ( delete one character then put it back) to force an update of the template and it re-invokes or resets the error so that when Iopen a page file I get the error message again and start all over.
If I click 'continue' in the error dialouge box and then save the file and close it and re-open it the erroneous closing head tag is gone from the former incorrect location but it is aslo missing from the place where it should be.
The pages seem to dispay correctly in a browers but soemthing is still wrong and I don't knwo what problems might be caused by the missing 'closing head tag'??
Any help will be appreciated.
Sorry if this is confusing, I can only hope I got it lined out right.
Thanx
BA
Meanwhile, it sounds like there are code errors in your Template that DW is somehow attempting to reconcile.

OK. I will post some URL's with the issue later today I hope. But for now, can you say why all of a sudden for no apparent reason the order of the file structure, while remaining 'alphabetical' reverses order from ascending to descending or vise versa?? This happened before I started using the trial version of DW CS6 and now in CS6 also. What gives with that? Is this indicative of a problem or something benign?
