I need help. FAST!

Why does my photoshop say everytime I download a font. It opens Photoshop CS5 then it says:

Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document."

Please help me. I really need that font.

    Adobe Photoshop is not a font editing application.

    If you want to use a particular font inside a Photoshop document, I recommend installing it using the tools of your operating system.

    Please describe how and where you are downloading the font from. Are you using a web browser? Which one on which OS? Are you purchasing the font from an Adobe store or are you getting the font from a third party?
