I PURCHASED THE NEW "ADOBE CREATE PDF" SOFTWARE TODAY. FOLLOWING THE DOWNLOAD AND PROCEEDING THROUGH THE INSTALLATION, I CONTINUED RECEIVING THE MESSAGE STATING: THE PRINTER INSTALLATION WAS NOT COMPLETED.
I TRIED (4) TIMES TO INSTALL AGAIN AND IT NEVER WORKED. I WAS ABLE TO OPEN PROGRAM FROM DESKTOP ON (2) OCCASSIONS.
THIS INSTALLATION IS NOT CORRECT! HOW CAN IT BE RESOLVED???
PS. THE COMPUTER WAS INSPECTED AND DIAGNOSED WITH (NO) PROBLEMS
WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL & EXPLORER 9
Sorry to hear you're having trouble. It sounds like you were trying to install the Create PDF Desktop Printer, is that correct? Does the Adobe CreatePDF Desktop printer show up in your list of printers now? Can you successfully access the CreatePDF service by visiting http://createpdf.acrobat.com/signin.html and logging in with your Adobe ID and password?
Yes, via instructions!
My “all-in-one” is a ‘HP Officejet Pro L7555”!
I’ve seen no Adobe Create PDF Desktop Printer and why would I need one???
Email Attachments; Scans; and my created PDF documents are usually converted to Microsoft Word / Excel when needed for editing and then converted back to PDF when necessary.
Hopefully, I’ve provided the information needed above.
What then were you trying to install? Your HP OfficeJet? I'm trying to get some context surrounding your original email. The CreatePDF service is web-based. There's nothing that you have to install. The CreatePDF Desktop Printer is an optional installation. But it sounds like you were having trouble installing something else, possibly your AIO device.
Are you having difficulty converting your scanned PDF files with the CreatePDF service?
I’m not installing anything but Create PDF! My HP printer works great!
When installing the Create PDF via download, it continuously tells me before pressing FINISH that the installation is INCOMPLETE for printer.
Based on your help, it appears that it should not be worried about if, it’s for Adobe printer only. I know you will explain that.
Finally, do I need to create a shortcut for this program on my desktop, or will it be automatically available through my Adobe Reader X ???
There was no problem, that I’m aware of in the converting scanned PDF files with the CreatePDF service. The only converting I did was from Adobe to Microsoft Word and had to redo and adjust the letterhead logos or delete them.
Thanks one more time
Ok, glad to know there isn't an issue.
If you need the CreatePDF Desktop Printer for converting documents to PDF, try running the installer again as an administrator (right-click the .exe and choose 'Run as Administrator'. That should help on that front.
As for accessing the service, we offer a couple different ways. The most common is through Adobe Reader X via the 'Tools' pane on the right-hand side. You can also log into the CreatePDF service here: http://createpdf.acrobat.com/signin.html with your Adobe ID & password. Lastly, we offer an Adobe AIR applicaiton for CreatePDF that you can drag-and-drop content for converting on.
All that said, it sounds like you're probably going to access the service via Adobe Reader would should keep things nice and simple.
Let us know if you have any other questions and we'll try to help!
