I recently purchased a subscription to the Creative Cloud suite. Tonight I tried installing my first application--Acrobat X. The Adobe Application Manager said it was installing the program, then it said the installation failed, then it said the program was installed. However, I can't find it anywhere--it isn't anywhere on the Windows Start menu, nor is it anywhere in my \Program Files\Adobe\ directory. I also opened Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs and it isn't showing as an installed program there either. I restarted my computer and still nothing.
As far as I can see, the Adobe Application Manager has no option for uninstalling and/or reinstalling a program; once it thinks the program is installed, that seems to be that.
I am running Windows XP Professional SP3 and I have Adobe Design Premium CS5 (with Acrobat 9 and Reader X) installed. I am assuming that it is possible to have both CS5 and any of the Creative Cloud applications installed; I certainly don't want to uninstall CS5 and then find I can't install the Creative Cloud apps.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
regards,
Marina
You can have different versions of CS, but not different versions of Acrobat. You must uninstall Acro 9. Use the Acrobat Cleaner Tool to fix your mess.
