Greetings
I'm having some problems with my Graphic Tablet Genius MousePen 8x6 using photoshop CS6.
The program doesnt recognize the pressure sensitivity capabilities of the tablet. I check with the driver's tool and the pressure works correctly but inside photoshop CS6 the pressure doesn't work.
I have Installed the latest driver dated from May 2011.
I already contacted the manufacturer if there is an answer but there is no answer about it yet.
The program is up to date with the latest update patches and no effect.
I appreciate your answer.
The problem is with the driver for your tablet.
You need to contact the makers of your tablet.
For some unknown reason, many of the knockoff tablet vendors have version specific hacks in their driver software - so they have to be revised with every new release of Photoshop. We don't know why they do this.
Well since before to write this i already contacted the manufacturer and there is no answer yet.
Lets hope the manufacturer releases a new driver version more compatible with Photoshop.
I know this because when CS4 were released i had another kind of problem with the tablet and took around 6 or 7 months until they released a driver (back in then a beta and the later stable release) than was suitable.
So far is strange than no one had problems with the tablet but me.
Anyway i'll keep an eye here.
ah ok i'm using mac at work - at home i have photoshop cs5 on windows and the tablet works perfectly there. Hope they release a new driver soon!
UPDATE: I just upgraded to Mountain Lion (10.8), re-installed my driver (redownloaded from the Genius website), and boom - my tablet works in PS perfectly
*stoked*
maybe for Windows if you update to Windows 8 or something it will come right?
