DW CS6 repeately crashing

Jul 17, 2012 1:21 PM

DW CS6 has become increasingly unstable over the past week for me.  I am not doing anything special -- a while ago I was just editing 1 CSS file and it suddenly "stopped working".

I had no other files open, was in code view, in "split code" view.  (I rarely use split code view, and doubt this contributed, since I've experienced DW6 crashes in other situations).  When this happens, it does not freeze or hang, or get slower, it just sudddenly quits.

I am Windows 7 Pro SP2, and I am being told Windows is looking for a solution and is reporting the trouble, but there's nothing else useful.  The DW version is 12.0, build 5808.

I can't submit a bug report, 'cause I really don't have any more details, but I wonder if other people are seeing anything like this.  It's very frustrating -- the amount of time & creativity I've lost in the past month....

I am having this same problem, and it seems to have started recently. I too am on Windows 7, 64 bit. DW CS6 stops responding at random times when I am doing routine work on a file. It's not related to a specific action or event. Any help on tis would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

Can you please provide the Crash Report so that we can check what might have caused the crash.

Also please try after applying the latest update : http://blogs.adobe.com/dreamweaver/2012/07/dreamweaver-cs6-update-12-0 -1.html

If it still reproducible let me know.

    Regards,

    Hello,

Please try updating Dreamweaver CS6 to the latest updates available.

If you are still facing the issue after updates, please mail me to yprasad_@adobe_._com(underscores included to avoid spam bots).

I will setup a meeting to look into the issue.

    Regards,
