Lightroom mac v pc download size

Hello,  Until I get my new imac, and set up LR + PS, I was going to download the trial version of LR. I noticed however that the mac version is 392.6mb whereas the pc version is almost double at 729.8mb. I'm worried that I might be losing something with the mac version - can anyone shed some light on this please?

 

Whilst I'm here, 1) I notice that there is a 30% LR discount when bought with PS - but I'm looking to probably pay £17 monthly for the subscription version - does anyone know if the 30% discount applies to this version? 2) Do you think it will be a trouble free download for LR and PS to my new mac, or does anyone know of any issues, as I'm sure I read somewhere that there are issues with something like the library folder, and java needing to be added to the mac

    The PC version containes an install for 32bit and 64bit while the Mac version is only 64bit.

    That's seems a worry (I thought mac was the way to go?). I was also going to upgrade ram from 4 to 16gb, so I presume that would be a waste of time / money, as I understand 32bit can't utilise for than 4gb ram?

     

    Can anyone explain what I would lose using LR4 in 32 bit mode, as I'm concerned - about to purchase a new imac + LR4 + PSCS6, so a lot of money to then have a 2nd rate editing system! Can anyone explain to me if I should change my mind and go for a pc to benefit from 64 bit?

    The Mac version is only 64bit!
