Exporting details from web form

Jul 31, 2012 1:25 AM

Hi.

We have a site that has three different web forms on it. When someone fills these in they get logged as 'cases'. We can view the detail of these cases in the dashboard, but if we try and export the cases to CSV it only exports the contact information of the person filling in the form, not the full details of all of the form fields.

Can anyone help as we need all of the details contained within the form fields in the exported CSV

Thanks

Ken

Have you tried generating a "Cusotmers and cases" report and choosing the webform fields like so - http://screencasteu.worldsecuresystems.com/Mihai/2012-07-31_1202.swf

This will generate a report you can then export to Excel containing the fields you need (customer details + the custom fields attached to the webform)

Thank you, this was so helpful for me too!

When you click the field 'customer name with details' its great as it gives you the name and the company details they work for with a comma eg : Fred Smith, ABC Contracting. Is there a way to actually separate these into fields so they have a column in the exported spreadsheet. eg name field separate to the company name ?  I could not see a separate field to click for 'company details'.  But apart from that this worked perfectly and my client will be very happy.  Thank you.

No way to do that. You need to split the column in two in Excel. It's few

clicks to do that. Just google something like "Split column by

    space delimiter in two"

    Mario -

Why does Business Catalyst have such a big problem with accomodating the Company Name field. It seems that it is lacking on the Labels Print out, the Packing Slip, now Excel export not to mention the fact that it has to be manually populated in the back end if you wish for this information to be "captured as part of an order. This problem has existed for the last 3 years with no fix. You would think that a product that considers itself a Catalyst for Business.... would be interested in determining why they won't easily support Business to Companies !!
