?? Creating an Upload Page to provide a Download Link ??

I've searched here but just can't seem to find an appropriate topic...

 

I need to create an Upload Page where someone can choose a file and upload it and SIMPLY have it reside on the server as a LINK that someone ELSE (given the address) can then download.

 

This is sort of like using FTP, but the recipient isn't FTP savvy.  So I need to have it so I can simply tell my recipient (ie, verbally)  to go to a spcific dowload link and they enter that in their browser and it downloads to their computer.

 

I can't figure it out, and I'm not very good with code... isn't there something I can cut, edit and paste to serve this purpose?

    Any file that is uploaded to the public folder would be accessible from a link. So you really just need a file upload script. You didn't mention which scripting language you are using, but just search for something like 'php file upload script'.
