I have a MacBook Pro (Quad-Core, 2.2GHz, 16GB RAM, 750HD 5400 RPM, Radeon 6750M w/1GB).
I'm wondering how adding a 120-240GB SSD (in the space of the Superdrive) could benefit me in PP and AE CS6?
Thanks!

I'd like to keep all the hardware within the computer. I'm not sure I could fit that drive in the superdrive space. Also, are you saying an SSD wouldn't benefit me in any way?
I heard that while using PP CS6 if I stored video on the SSD I would get faster previews. Is that incorrect?
Here's why we don't recommend an SSD for previews:
Previews require repeated rewrites of the disk. Worse, SSDs have a limited rewrite life. If you put previews on an SSD, that SSD might wear out prematurely after just a few weeks of use (especially since previews often get re-written as many as several hundred times per day). And since such wear and tear is not covered at all under warranty, you could end up spending thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars per year just on SSD replacements.

Man, what the hell kind of editing are you doing?!
I'd say that on average, with all of PP's realtime capabilities most people don't use previews at all. And even those that do are probably only writing them a few times per session.
