How to customize sequence setting

Jul 31, 2012 8:07 AM

Hi,

It is probably a very basic question but cannot find how to customize the sequence settings.

When I created new project, I chose NTCS setting.

The movie source I used is 1280x960. When I drag it in the sequence window, it doesn't fit in the format. (It looks like it crops the movie)

I clicked on Sequence Setting menu to edit, but size is in grey and therefore cannot change the size.

Does anyone can explain me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

This is from the CS5 user guide PDF... but I think the process is the same

without selecting a preset, select the General tab of the New Preset dialog box. Select Desktop from the Editing Mode menu, and customize the settings on the General tab until they match the parameters of your assets.

As I said, I lifted that from the CS5 user guide

Press F1 in CS4 and read how to create a project using the desktop video editing setting

Start over by making a new sequence, hit General, then change the Editing Mode to Desktop (dropdownmenu)

Now you can set everything manually.

Copy content old sequence into this new sequence if you do not want to edit all over.
