Hello, I'm trying to get my company onto using shared pdf reviews. From what I've seen, it looks pretty simple but quite valuable. My boss has a question though. She's not interested in publishing to acrobat.com for various security reasons, so I told her we could also publish to an internal server instead. She's been told by someone else that even reviews stored on internal servers will also be copied to acrobat.com.
Not true - if you distribute the PDF files internally and host the shared review on your own network drive or WebDAV server the comment data is simply written to XML files on the server folder you specify. Many customers operate this setup entirely within an intranet, there will be no external traffic whatseover and nothing is sent to Acrobat.com.
