I learned how to create a chrome effect in InDesign by creating and applying a multi-stop gradient (top image below) The gradient can be applied either linearly or radially.
Is there a way to create the effect so that there is a curve to it like on the second image below.
Indesign will be limited to the effects you can create. But here are some things you can try... You can add a radial grad to text in a frame, like top image. You can separate each character so the effect is different on each character, like middle image. You can try multiple images with different effects, transparencies and layer them, like bottom image
