I am trying to create sidebars with content that can be viewed on the page, but does not cause scrolling when it bleeds off the edges. In other words, when the window is sized down or isn't full screen, the sidebars don't interfere. I have a container/wrapper div tag around all of my content, so I am unsure if I have to edit the wrapper as well as the sidebars, or if I need to remove the sidebars from the wrapper or what. If you have any advice or recommend an alternative solution, feel free to let me know. Thanks.
The site has not been uploaded to the server as of yet. I found an example of a header creating the effect that I am trying to replicate. Notice that when you pull the width of the window in, the header image (with the water) begins being covered, but does not cause scrolling until you start overlapping other elements of the page.
I know this isn't the best example, since it uses a header and I am concerned with sidebars, so i will try to find a better example or upload the site to the server when I have more time.
Still not sure what you mean. Perhaps one of these CSS Layouts is closer to what you're trying to achieve?
