I can't get the resize window to fit option working. It has worked in the past; I have no idea what changed.
I am using Adobe CS4 (11.0.2) on Windows 7 (6.1) 32 bit operating system.
I made sure the resize window to fit option is turned on and deleted the preferences file. How can I fix this?

Where is that option. I know of menu View>Fit On Screen shortcut Ctrl|Cmd+0 and that you can set a script event manager open event to run a Script or action to do a View>Fit on Screen but the only Preferences option I know of for image window size is "Zoom resizes window"???
I tried both setting the preference option Zoom Resizes Window, and toggling that option on and off with the Resize Window to Fit option that shows up when the zoom tool is selected. View -> Fit on Screen also does not resize the window to the correct size; it just resizes the image.
The Resize Window to fit option in the option bar for the zoom tool pop-up tip states resizes window to fit when using the zoom tool. In other words its not like the view menu fit on screen. It like the preferenced zoom resizes window. You must click the mouse on the image or alt|option+click on the image or use Ctrl|Cmd++ or Ctrl|CMD+- for the Image to zoom and the window size change along with the zoom.
If its not working that way try resetting your Photoshop preferences.
