My client needs a way to register multiple "types" of members.
Imagine paper forms (hope someone still remembers those
). There are multiple sections in the form (Sections A-Z, yes there are 24 sections), each section having their own set of fields of course.
If someone belongs to, say, "Client User" type of membership, he only needs sections A & B.
If someone belongs to "Member Associate" he needs sections A-C.
And so on...
I think, to save some time in setting up and maintaining, I could make a Web Form for each section. Depending on the type of membership entered, the necessary web forms can be served up in a multi-step fashion.
First question, is this at all possible?
Can it be made so that the information in each section is tied to that one single customer? As in, if you take a look at that customer in CRM, all the information are there?
Has anyone come across some kind of resource that tackles the above in part or in whole?
Thanks in advance! ![]()
Hello ooly_dev,
This is something that you can do on BC. The only thing that you might come up short on is the fact that you can't sign someone up for two secure zones at one time. So unless the "Client User" who only needs sections A & B can be signing up for a single secure zone called A&B, they would have to sign up for A and then B.
As for the form they fill out. You can have a single form that, using jQuery, will sign them into any secure zone you have set up.

This can be configured pretty much anyway you need to establish what secure zone the user needs, but this example uses a drop down. And each case will be tied to the users e-mail address so it will capture all information for that user.
Hope this helps,

Chad,
You got to be careful with the wording there.
You can log someone in through a few ways to get into different securezones but there is no way to sign them up to different securezones.
This is only done server side. There is no action paramaters that manipulate this other wise someone could pay for the silver membership but subscribe to the full one by changing the action url.
