I had bought ACC (1-month memebership) and than installed CS software using one Adobe ID. Now I bought an annual ACC membership with another Adobe ID. Can I switch it somewhere or should I reinstall the whole CS software package ?
Hi there - you do not have to uninstall the applications you have already downloaded. Just go into any one of your installed Adobe applications and go to Help > Deactivate.
Once you have deactivated your products, reboot your computer, and open up the Adobe Application Manager. You will be prompted to enter your AdobeID. At this point, you can enter your new ID, and you should be good to go.
Make sure you have downloaded the most recent version of the Adobe Application Manager, to prevent your products from reverting to trial mode: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/trial--1-launch.html
Thank you for quick reply. I followed your instructions but now I wish I had read the last line in the first place...
My applications are now in trial mode. I already updated the Adobe App Manager, but it stays the same.
When I launch Fireworks I see a trial window with an interesting button "License This Software".
I click on it and see some "busy" icon, and then "Interet connection required for subscriptions" screen appears.
Of course I have an internet connection running so I don't know what is going on.
Maybe the application is trying to connect to Adobe by a specific port or smth ?
Maybe I have to contact my IS team and check if our proxy allows this communication ?
I haven't had problems like this while using the one-month subscription so I'm a bit confused.
Hi again - sorry to hear that you're still having issues.
If you haven't restarted your computer since updating the Application Manager, do that and see if re-activating via the Application Manager works.
Regarding the internet connection error message - it sounds like your computer is being blocked from connecting to the Adobe activation server, possibly by a firewall. You may have to contact your IT team so that you can complete your registration with your new Adobe ID. You'll need to log in every 30 days for a liscence check, so it will be helpful to resolve this issue early on. Here's a forum thread with some more technical information on this problem, some of which you may need to pass on to your IT team: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4511996
If your products continue to open up in trail mode with the internet connection issue resolved, you can activate them by clicking the "License This Software" button you encountered. You'll be able to log in with your Adobe ID from there, as shown in the screenshots below:
