Edge question really...

Just been doing some edge testing, which I know quite a few DPS users are doing.

I dont want the poster image, anyone know if it's possible to have an edge animation imported into Indesign without a poster image?

I have also posted this in the Edge forum :-)

    You could use a transparent png with nothing in it, but in Edge you can choose the poster image as well if you’re using CS6 and placing OAM files.

    Hi bob

    yea using CS6 placing OAM etc, I think the transparent png solution is a good one, as Edge seems to automatically create a poster if none is specified

    Hi Bob

    Whilst I'm off topic, you commented on an indesign question about page flipping pdf's.

    There is a great Adobe video that explained the process of creating a swf file with the page flips, then just re-import to indesign and then export to pdf.

    It works well except for the quality of text, which is rubbish. Know of any other solution?

    No. I hate the entire effect anyway. Reminds me of page curls in Photoshop back in the day.

     

     

     

    Overused and without any purpose at all except to use it.

    Ha ha, yes I do tend to agree, except I have a very large client who are determined to do it, are willing to pay a lot of money, and aren't really interested in my opinion, (in this case) so what do you do! - you do the job, get well paid and move on :-)

    I’ve done plenty of that, too. You won’t find any of it in my portfolio, though.
