When I open a adobe file I get jumbled letters. I have to save it first, then direct it to open with adobe?

Which Adobe application are you using? What type of file is it? Where did you receive the file from? Finally which operating system are you using?

We need much more info. What is an "Adobe file"? Adobe is making a ton of different programs all with their own file formats... And yeah, some system info wouldn't hurt...
