Adobe Reader cuts off

Aug 1, 2012 4:02 PM

How can I operate Adobe Reader, which cuts off suddenly only after a few minutes of viewing document?

BTW, viewing PDF docs in iBooks does not have this problem, but Adobe Reader iOS has much more functionality than iBooks.

What version of Adobe Reader? What device are you working on? Have you tried restoring your device or resetting your device? (Often, errors which appear to be in the app are because you haven't reset your device for a long time, if ever.)

I'd suggest resetting your iPad. Hold down the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time. Wait until you see the Apple icon, and let it boot up.

Then try using Reader and see if you have the same experience.

If it's a very large PDF, it's possible that you might have performance issues which depend on the memory of the device.
