InDesign indb booklet format

I have created an indb file and exported to a hi-res pdf for print with bleeds in a one page layout. The printer that I currently am using says that they want it in a booklet format. Can this be done by me or is the printer suppose to do this.? I have researched and found that indb files cannot be exported into a booklet from InDesign.

That is the printer’s job. Any printer requesting (or requiring) this should be avoided at all cost.
