I have just installed the new CS6 and aside from a couple headaches, one of the most annoying things is that I can no longer see my gradian tool... I used to be able to edit my gradiant like changing the shape to an oval and moving it around...
Is this some annoying default feature that I fix?
Thank you in advance

If you have the tool in the tool bar selected and the path the gradient is selected and the gradient annotator is not showing then your preferences are probably selected.
BTW always tell us what platform your on
1. Quit Illustrator.
2.Go to User/username/Library/Preferences/ Adobe illustrator CS6 Settings and trash the settings folder, the whole folder not just the contents of the folder..
3. Start Illustrator. Illustrator creates a new preferences file.
Which version of Illustrator are you upgrading from?
After you apply your gradient using the Gradient panel, click on the Gradient tool from the toolbar. Then select the object you applied the gradient to, and the gradient editor should appear, as shown below. With this, you can resize your gradient, move it around, or change the shape using the handles on the outside of the gradient.
If you're still having problems, it may be a setting issue, as Wade mentioned.

I had a siilar problem just last night I could see the annotator but not the color stops or mide point nor could I make and adjustments and I did not get the tool to expand to see the ellipse.
but trshing the settings folder restore all the functionality.
I am on a Mac 2006 2.66 Ghz Mac OS 10.7.4 Running the master colection CS6.
No recent updates or recently installed apps.
However I do run some applications that not release and are on public beta programs.
I do have some beta applications as well but the probelm does not seem related. But of course that does not mean it is not related to those funky software.
