File Content Errors when updating from InDesign CS5.5 to CS6

When updating files from InDesign CS5.5 to CS6, I'm losing data from tables and finding other small errors throughout the documents.


In a few instances, I found errors when opening CS6 IDML files in CS5.5, but I'm not surprised by that.


I've tried using Adobe Acrobat Pro to compare PDFs and search for these errors, but it produces many false positives and doesn't always find what I'm looking for.


Is there anything I can do to minimize, prevent, find or mitigate these upgrade errors? Is anyone else experiencing this?

    Were these tables imported in from Excel? There sometimes can be trouble where linked tables can lose content when converted up or down.

    Does it happen in a new user account on one of the machines that has a problem?

    A new user account is a standard diagnostic step. It will establish if the problem is localized to a user account, or is something affecting the program in general.
