Acrobat Pro v. 10. Upgraded to MS Office 2010, 64 bit. Now acrobat won't open. Downloaded update for version 10 (10.1.3), got ribbons in MS office, but acrobat refuses to open. Have uninstalled and installed acrobat four times - same result. Repaired MS office, and installed again, same result. Solution?
Run the Acrobat Cleaner tool: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then try to re-install.
Is Acrobat installed as part of a suite or as a stand-alone application?
Was Acrobat launching properly before you applied the 10.1.3 update to the software?
Michael's suggestion of running the Cleaner tool may work too.
Yes. Note: I have a stand-alone installation of Acrobat (not part of a suite). Uninstalled Acrobat (that didn't open when I double-clicked on icon) first. Rebooted. Ran cleaner. Rebooted. Installed Acrobat again. Successful install and able to open normally. Installed updates to Acrobat. Problem fixed. Acrobat also appeared in MS Office ribbons. Thank you for assistance.
